Babies and flat feet Part 3 (Teacher: Michael)

If your child does have flat feet, try not to worry. Only about one in every 20 children with condition grows up to have them as adult.
The most useful way to help child who definitely has flat feet is to provide shoes with what is known as inner raise.

A small extra piece of leather is tacked onto heel of child's shoes to increase height of heel by fraction of centimetre, but this must be done by professional.

An inner raise will help your child acquire better walking habit and better arch within couple of years. These raises aren't usually necessary after child reaches age of nine.
